The collaboration draws from 88rising Founder, Sean Miyashiro’s upbringing in the suburban streets of Cupertino, CA—where 90s and early 2000s streetwear, warehouse raves, and underground music scenes collided. Fusing BAPE’s legendary rise in global street culture with 88rising’s visionary presence in music, the capsule pays homage to a formative era of DIY creativity, mixtape hustle, and late-night city glow.
Signature BAPE and 88rising design elements are layered with dusk-to-dark tones, capturing the California sunset as seen from cul-de-sacs and cracked concrete dance floors.
