Aijuswanaseing 25th Anniversary (Blue) 2LP

Aijuswanaseing introduced Musiq Soulchild with a debut album rooted in Philadelphia soul, hip-hop-era R&B, and the conversational intimacy that would define much of his early work. Released through Def Soul, the record helped establish him among the key voices of the neo-soul wave at the turn of the millennium. “Just Friends (Sunny)” moves with an easy, lived-in charm, while “Love” became one of Musiq’s defining ballads, pairing direct songwriting with a restrained vocal approach. Deeper cuts like “Mary Go Round” and “You Be Alright” round out the album’s mix of warmth, vulnerability, and quiet confidence, presented here as a 2-disc vinyl set on blue vinyl.
