Founded in Los Angeles in 1994, X-girl emerged from the intersection of fashion, art, and music as a defining voice of women’s streetwear. Created by Kim Gordon and Daisy von Furth, the brand was built around the idea of “real clothing”, pieces designed simply for how they wanted to dress, grounded in everyday life rather than trends. From the beginning, graphic expression played a central role, with the iconic face logo designed by Mike Mills becoming a lasting symbol of the brand’s identity. Recognized as a pioneer of the “Girl’s Movement” in fashion, X-girl has continuously shaped culture by connecting streetwear with creative communities.
