About
Nipsey Hussle
Ermias “Nipsey Hussle” Asghedom founded his record label, All Money In, in 2008, and emerged as one of the most influential voices in hip-hop through a groundbreaking run of mixtapes including Bullets Ain’t Got No Names, The Marathon, The Marathon Continues, Crenshaw, and Mailbox Money. In 2018, Hussle released his major label debut album, Victory Lap, to widespread critical acclaim, earning a GRAMMY® nomination for “Best Rap Album.” Following his passing, Hussle was posthumously awarded GRAMMY® Awards for “Racks In The Middle” and DJ Khaled’s “Higher.” Beyond music, Hussle was a visionary entrepreneur and community leader whose business ventures included The Marathon Clothing, The Marathon Agency, SC Commercial Ventures, Vector90, and The Marathon (Collective). In 2025, The Marathon (Brand) expanded further with the launch of Marathon Burger, which has since grown to multiple Los Angeles-area locations, including a Long Beach expansion in partnership with Snoop Dogg and Cordell Broadus. In 2026, Hussle’s legacy continues through the forthcoming posthumous collaborative album PROLIFIC with longtime friend and collaborator Bino Rideaux, arriving summer 2026. Hussle and Bino first joined forces on their fan-favorite 2017 project No Pressure. The album’s first offering, “Reckless,” introduces a new chapter of previously unreleased material to fans worldwide. Since his passing, Nipsey Hussle’s family has continued building upon his mission through the Neighborhood Nip Foundation (NNF), with future plans centered around youth empowerment, community programming, wellness initiatives, and direct community outreach across Los Angeles. Recent efforts have included the foundation’s first annual turkey giveaway, holiday toy drive, and its third consecutive year serving as an official charity partner of the Los Angeles Marathon. While 2026 marked the foundation’s third year participating with the marathon, 2026 was also the first official year of Marathon Run Club participation, with 100 runners completing the full 26.2-mile race after receiving sponsored bib entries and marathon training resources designed to support first-time runners.
