KATSEYE
KATSEYE is a two-time GRAMMY®-nominated global girl group redefining pop stardom. Recently wrapping their sold-out first North American tour, the group debuted their latest single, “PINKY UP,” live for the very first time during their first ever performance at Coachella. “PINKY UP” delivers an edgy, high-energy sound that expands the world KATSEYE has been building—confident, playful, and always pushing pop forward. The song turns chaos into celebration, capturing the group’s unmistakable energy and momentum. The song follows a breakout year that saw KATSEYE crowned TikTok’s Global Artist of the Year and earn two GRAMMY nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Gabriela.” Their EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200 and includes the global hit “Gnarly,” one of 2025’s most acclaimed songs. KATSEYE will release their third EP, WILD, on August 14, via HYBE x Geffen Records. Praised by outlets including The New York Times, Vogue, Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Complex for both their music and live performances, KATSEYE continues to solidify their place as a global force. Formed through HYBE and Geffen Records’ Dream Academy and Netflix’s Pop Star Academy, the members hail from across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and beyond, bringing a truly international perspective to pop culture. Their name is a fitting one. A cat’s eye is a gemstone that radiates a variety of colors, depending on the direction from which it’s viewed – much like the group’s members. Each exudes her own distinct aesthetic and talents. Hailing from six different cities across three continents, this diverse group is united as one in KATSEYE, glowing powerfully together. Now based in Los Angeles, KATSEYE’s members emerged from 120,000 submissions that were winnowed down to a field of 20 contestants who participated in The Debut: Dream Academy, an intensive program developed jointly by HYBE and GEFFEN. Fans got to know the young women over the course of the 2023 audition program, which was seen on YouTube, Weverse and ABEMA (Japan). KATSEYE debuted in June with first single aptly titled “Debut”, KATSEYE's official introduction to the world and sees the group taking mainstream pop head-on. Second single “Touch” released in July. A song that reveals the group’s softer side. Elegant vocals from the six members are paired with dreamy ethereal tones as they ponder the complexities of love, wounded feelings and rediscovering one’s self-worth. KATSEYE performed both tracks for the first time ever at this year’s KCON. KATSEYE released their first EP, SIS (Soft Is Strong), on August 16, 2024. The years-long process of creating this one-of-a-kind international girl group was the subject of a Netflix documentary series which released August 2024. The series follows 20 contestants from around the world over a year-long journey as they compete to become KATSEYE. With unprecedented access, unfolding over eight episodes, the result is a compelling portrayal of the road to international stardom, including insight into the unique training and development program developed by HYBE and Geffen Records. Directed by Nadia Hallgren (Becoming) and produced by HYBE, Interscope Films and Boardwalk Pictures.
