HXG, the Atlanta duo comprised of Meechie and Beno!, deliver a unique blend of street rap and mystique, crafting trap music that feels like a glimpse into the future. Their journey began in 2021 with their breakout track “Rockstar Trapper!” They became fast friends after meeting at a basketball game as teens. While they loved music, the streets dominated their early lives. “I was lost,” Beno! says, while Meechie adds, “I just knew it was a way to provide for my family.” Since then, they’ve honed their craft, combining powerful flows with futuristic production and building a worldwide fanbase. Growing up in Zone 6, they drew inspiration from local legends like Gucci Mane, Future, Alley Boy, and OutKast. Their early singles, defined by futuristic beats and dynamic flows, set the blueprint for their distinctive style. In the studio with Problemchild, they crossed paths with Playboi Carti, and their track “SSN” led to a signing with Opium, setting the stage for their debut project, Snotty Hill. Over the years, HXG has released Snotty World (2021), Homixide Lifestyle (2022), Snot or Not (2023), and 5th AMNDMNT (2023). Hits like “5unna,” “Lifestyle,” and “Uzi Work” have racked up over 137 million streams, cementing their status at the forefront of Atlanta’s new wave. Their 2024 debut album, I5U5WE5 (Opium/Interscope), was hailed as “the sound of the future,” earning sold-out tours across North America and China and producing hits like “HI-VOLTAGE.” In 2025, they continued to evolve with Homixide Lifestyle 2, beginning with “Free Agents” produced by Pi’erre Bourne, and went on to support Playboi Carti on The Antagonist 2.0 Tour, performing in sold-out arenas across North America. Up next, HXG takes the stage at Rolling Loud this spring while working on new music. Beyond the studio, they’re exploring film and launching their own label, building a legacy for themselves, their families, and the next generation.
