BABYMETAL

BABYMETAL, formed in 2010, consists of SU-METAL (Vocal, Dance), MOAMETAL (Scream, Dance), and MOMOMETAL (Scream・Dance). In April 2016, BABYMETAL became the first Japanese artists to ever headline at the prestigious Wembley Arena in the UK. In June 2019, they performed at one of the world’s largest music festivals, Glastonbury Festival, and their appearance at this festival made headlines around the world. That same year in September, BABYMETAL embarked on their METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR. On October 11th, 2019, BABYMETAL released their third album, METAL GALAXY, worldwide and, on that same day, held their first U.S. headlining arena show at The Forum in Los Angeles, California. METAL GALAXY ranked No. 13 on the US Billboard Top 200 (Albums Chart), greatly surpassing their own record for their previous album, and ranked No.1 on the Top Rock Albums Chart for the first time ever as an Asian artist. In the UK Official Charts, the album consecutively ranked in the Official Albums Chart Top 20 from their previous album and ranked No.1 on the Rock & Metal Albums Chart for the first time in history as a Japanese artist. In March 2023, the band released the concept album “THE OTHER ONE.” From April 2023, the new phase of BABYMETAL began with SU-METAL, MOAMETAL, and MOMOMETAL. They completed a world tour spanning 25 countries and a total of 98 performances. In April 2024, BABYMETAL held a two-day co-headlining show with DETHKLOK at The Masonic in San Francisco, CA, and performed at the Las Vegas music festival Sick New World (85,000 attendees). In May, BABYMETAL hosted their first self-produced festival, FOX_FEST, over two days at Saitama Super Arena. That same month, their collaboration song “RATATATA” with Electric Callboy, which was released globally via streaming, reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard's Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart. In June, BABYMETAL embarked on the UK & EU tour across eight countries (10 festivals, 3 headlining shows), including some of the world's most renowned music festivals, such as Germany's Rock im Park (80,000 attendees), Rock am Ring (97,500 attendees), the UK's Download Festival (100,000 attendees), and France's Hellfest (60,000 attendees) as well as headlining shows in Amsterdam (Netherlands), Warsaw (Poland), and Toulouse (France). Meanwhile, BABYMETAL’s 2020 collaboration song with Bring Me the Horizon, “Kingslayer ft. BABYMETAL” achieved certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on June 25, 2024. In August, BABYMETAL did their 2nd Asian tour and performed in four countries; Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Bangkok (Thailand), and Jakarta (Indonesia). The band made a special guest appearance along with F.HERO on BODYSLAM's stage at SUMMER SONIC BANGKOK 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. In October, 2024, BABYMETAL completed their first South American tour, covering Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Chile. During this tour, they performed at KNOTFEST, the festival organized by Slipknot, and appeared as a special guest at Slipknot’s headline show in Mexico. The band performed a total of eight shows in six countries, attracting approximately 180,000 attendees. Following that, BABYMETAL completed the U.S. tour, covering 15 cities, totaling 18 shows. Since the beginning of the new phase in April 2024, the band performed a total of 51 shows across 22 countries worldwide. Excluding special guest appearances, the total audience reached an astonishing 1.01 million people, marking an incredible milestone as their 2024 world tour came to a close. In 2025, BABYMETAL performed at KNOTFEST Australia in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney in February and March. Starting in May, the band will embark on their first-ever arena tour in the UK and Europe, covering 12 shows across eight countries. The tour finale on May 30 will take place at The O2 Arena in the UK (20,000 attendees), making BABYMETAL the first Japanese group to headline a show at this iconic venue. On June, BABYMETAL will kick off their largest-ever North American tour, starting with a show in Houston.
