Cheetah originally debuted in 1943's Wonder Woman #6 boasting powers similar to the feline including super-strength and speed. But she was just the first iteration of the character known as Priscilla Rich. Afterwards, DC gave the title to other characters: Deborah Domaine, Barbara Ann Minerva, and Sebastian Ballesteros.

For Wonder Woman 2, they'll reportedly be following Minerva's storyline, according to The Hashtag Show, which previously called Cheetah as the villain for Wonder Woman's sequel. It'd make sense as well since DC Comics reintroduced the character in a 2011 reboot series, making her the latest version to have a comic book series. Now, with Wiig's knack for comedy, it'll be interesting to see the SNL alum take on the villainous Cheetah.

Wonder Woman 2 is slated to premiere on Dec. 19, 2019.
