The beat scene of Los Angeles has been thriving for some time now.

For years, producers like Shlohmo and Teebs have been  blending together hip-hop, IDM, club music, polyrhythmic sonics and more with some wild results. One of the newer talents to bubble up in the scene is Jordan Hill aka No Puls. This Friday, March 9, Hill will release his new 5-track project, Tongues, a collection of four originals and a Slugabed remix of "Fiji Quija". The latter, which you can stream exclusively below, is a balanced compound of tribal rhythms, lo-fi crunch and futuristic electronics.

Look out for the full release at the end of the week.
