You may have heard earlier this week that Frank Ocean's album Blondewon't be up for consideration for any awards at this year's Grammys. At first it looked like Ocean's team missed the deadline to file, but later, a source close to the situation revealed they simply chose not to submit the album this time around. However it all went down, the whole thing just isn't sitting right with one person in particular: Kanye West.

Last night, Yeezy aired his feelings about Ocean's situation during the latest stop on his Saint Pablo tour in Oakland, California. "The album I listen to the most this year is Frank Ocean's album," West said in the middle of performing the song "Wolves." "I'll tell you this right now: If his album’s not nominated in no categories, I’m not showin' up to the Grammys."

As a solution, West cited Lady Gaga who, back around the time they were supposed to tour together for the aborted Fame Kills tour back in 2009, appeared at the Grammys after the organization apparently changed their own rules to be able to consider the singer's debut album The Fame for an award. "No one wants to say nothing about it," West complained on Ocean's behalf. "No one wants to do nothing about it."

Later during his stream of consciousness rap, he seems to touch on Ocean's reported relationship with Def Jam as well. “They get smacked in they face over political bullshit.” West noted. It's an idea that very much falls in line with his recent comments about the streaming wars between Apple and Tidal. At a stop in Seattle the other night he now famously threw both companies under the bus saying, "Y’all didn’t get what y’all was supposed to get with me and Drake on this song because of some Tidal/Apple bullshit."

You can catch West's comments in full in the video above.
