Five people have died and at least 12 were hit following a string of separate shootings in Philadelphia from Saturday night into Sunday, per NBC 10ABC 6, and others.

The shootings in question started Saturday at about 10:45 p.m. when a man in his 30s was killed in the West Oak Lane neighborhood. Hours later, around 1:40 a.m. Sunday, another man was shot in the head and killed in the neighborhood of Crescentville, where a gun was recovered by police. An attempted robbery took place around 4 a.m. in North Philly, when a man believed to be about 30 was shot in the chest and later died at the hospital.

Another shooting death took place at roughly 6 a.m. when another man, around 50 years old, was hit at least twice in his chest in North Philly. “He was a really nice guy. We always loved him around here. He never messed with nobody. He had a real beautiful heart,” said a neighbor who didn’t want to be identified.

The final shooting death took place around 4 p.m. Sunday when a 29-year-old man was shot throughout his body, and once in the head, by four suspects in Mill Creek, per CBS 3. Other shootings over the weekend included one at Penn’s Landing, when three 14-year-olds were hit around 9:45 p.m., as well as when two teenage girls had their feet shot at.

“What I’m thinking is it’s very sad all the senseless murders and killings out here in these streets,” Rodney Williams from North Philadelphia told the station.

In addition, between Saturday night and Sunday morning, two men aged around 18 were shot and left in critical condition following an incident at the border of the Grays Ferry and Point Breeze neighborhoods, a man in his 30s was shot in the leg in North Philly, and a man in his 20s was shot multiple times in North Philly, per NBC 10
