CNN reported Friday that parts of the explosive 35-page dossier compiled by a former British intelligence agent had been corroborated by U.S. investigators. U.S. intelligence has also confirmed several details in the dossier to BuzzFeed News.

The dossier alleges, among other things, that President Donald Trump has strong ties to Russia. Trump has dismissed the collection of documents as “fake news” and “phony stuff.”

An intelligence source told BuzzFeed News that the details that have been confirmed “are not the salacious allegations” pertaining to an alleged sexual encounter that took place in a Moscow hotel, but rather “more about Trump’s relationship with Russia.”

The source also told BuzzFeed that some of the other confirmed details, “no one will care about.”

So at this point, we know some of it is true, but we don’t know which parts.

“Over the past two weeks we’ve determined some portions [of the dossier] are credible,” a second U.S. intelligence official told BuzzFeed.

The full dossier was first published in January. CNN reported that then-President Barack Obama and president-elect Trump had both seen a summary of it.

“This is more fake news,” White House press secretary Sean Spicer told CNN of its latest reporting. “It is about time CNN focused on the success the President has had bringing back jobs, protecting the nation, and strengthening relationships with Japan and other nations. The President won the election because of his vision and message for the nation.”
