One dude named James recently found himself in this situation, when he decided to turn up with his crew after telling his girlfriend he was staying in for a quiet night. Rather than attempt to reassure his lady with a simple text, he and his friends came up with a much more convincing scheme: They used their coats to create the illusion he was cuddled up in his bed.
James shared the stunt with a Twitter post, which has since accumulated more than 68,000 retweets and nearly 200,000 likes.
The trick has apparently inspired others to try it out for themselves.
It looks like ladies are also giving it a shot.
So, if you ever find yourself in a similar situation, know this genius trick is an option. But if you want to keep things simple, you should have actual bed selfies saved on your phone. Or you can man up and just tell your significant other the truth.
