Hours before the final presidential debate, the spotlight has shifted to Ivanka Trump. Donald Trump's daughter previously criticized her father’s “locker room talk.” But this time, it's her own lewd comments—as alleged by Buzzfeed founder and CEO Jonah Peretti—that are the story. According to Peretti, Ivanka said, "I've never seen a mulatto c*ck, but I'd like to!"

Peretti quote-tweeted a Buzzfeed article about Ivanka calling Trump’s Access Hollywood remarks “crude,” writing: “Surprised Ivanka would be shocked by lewd language. I met her once & she casually said: ‘I've never seen a mulatto c*ck, but I'd like to!’” Ivanka has denied the story, tellingBuzzfeed News in a statement: “I am not sure if this was meant to be a joke, but in case there is any ambiguity, this is a complete and total lie.”

Trump spokesperson Jason Miller told Buzzfeed News in an email: “What a little man and a disgraceful liar to smear Ivanka Trump like this.” He added, “It shows just how far the media will go to tear down Mr. Trump’s family, and we demand an apology.”

The Buzzfeed CEO said Ivanka made the comment in a Manhattan dive bar 8 to 10 years ago with about five people present, including Peretti’s wife Andrea Harner. He said he and Ivanka have a mutual friend, which is why she was there.

“She was saying how she first said she had never seen an uncircumcised c*ck and then she said, ‘I’ve never seen a mulatto c*ck. There’s lots of c*cks I’ve never seen,’ or something like that,” Peretti told Buzzfeed News. “Of course, it was memorable just because of the use of the lewd language and racist language. It was also memorable being in the environment of being…in New York, sometimes liberal and progressive people make comments meant as jokes and not necessarily earnest. I didn’t know how to take it.”

By racist language, Peretti means Ivanka’s use of the word mulatto, generally seen as an offensive term. Harner said she recalled Ivanka’s comment, but didn’t have any other comment about the situation.

Ivanka discussed her father’s lewd Access Hollywood comments on Wednesday at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit, calling them “jarring” because they did not contain “language consistent with any conversation I've ever had with him, certainly, or any conversation I've overheard.”
