UPDATE (4/23/16): According to the editor of the Chillicothe Gazette, a Cincinnati-area businessman Jeff Ruby has offered a reward of $25,000 to any person with information leading to the arrest or conviction of anyone responsible for the execution-style killing of eight members of the Rhoden family in Pike County yesterday.

Despite Facebook and Instagram banding together to stop gun sales on the respective sites it's still insanely easy to get your hands on a gun elsewhere without any necessary paperwork as Samantha Bee recently proved. We're reminded of this fact when we see things like Chicago having its deadliest January in 16 years and mass shootings including Kalamazoo or earlier today in Pike County, Ohio. A mass shooting in Pike County left at least 8 people dead CNNreports authorities as saying Friday afternoon. CNNreports a shooter, or shooters, are still on the loose.
Authorities said eight people were found dead in the southern Ohio area, concluding the victims are all from the Rhoden family, according toCNN. Seven of the eight victims were shot "execution-style" authorities also said, CNNreports.
According toCNN, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Pike County Sheriff Charles Reader said officers first found seven of the victims—five adults and two children—who were killed in three Pike County homes. Reader said two of the houses were "within walking distance" while the third was almost half a mile away reportsCNN.
Two bodies were first discovered Friday morning with the sheriff's office being notified at approximately 7:53 a.m. said Reader, according toCNN. He added, CNNreports, that officers were later stopped and told more bodies had been found.
An eighth body was found even further away at a home 8 miles away Friday afternoon said Reader reportsCNN.
One of the victims has been identified as a 16-year-old said DeWine, adding that another victim was a recent mother who was killed next to her 4-day-old baby, CNNreports.
The baby, in addition to a 6-month-old and 3-year-old, survived the shootings, CNNreports Reader as saying.
DeWine said the killings happened at night according toCNN.
At a press conference Friday Reader said, "I am still actively looking for a shooter," reports CNN. "I cannot confirm that there is no one on the loose who is not involved with this. If he is, he's armed and dangerous."
According to Mass Shooting Tracker there's been 107 mass shootings, including today's, in the 111 days so far of 2016. Last year the number of mass shootings outnumbered the days of the year. Unfortunately, it looks like it'll be the same this year.
