This just in: Abercrombie & Fitch hates street goths, too. The mall retailer, who likes to play fashion police with its employees and be a general douchebag, has now barred its employees from wearing any semblance of black, MSN reports.

“Abercrombie & Fitch does not sell black clothing and discourages wearing it at our home office and in our stores, because we are a casual lifestyle brand and feel black clothing is formal. We have nothing against black clothing and feel it is perfectly appropriate for things like tuxedos," a statement from its corporate office reads.

We agree that black can be in bad taste sometimes, you don't exactly want to wear a black suit in the middle of the day, unless you're Johnny Cash or an undertaker. But A&F doesn't sell suits, or anything mildly respectable in the #menswear arena (yes, we know it sells moose-labeled oxfords). It sells shitty T-shirts and distressed jeans to teenagers and adults with zero fashion sense.

But here's some advice: If you were looking for cool clothes to begin with, A&F isn't the place to start, so don't worry if the store doesn't sell black. And if you work at A&F, and haven't seen the writing on the wall, it's time to get the hell out.
