According to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune, Chargers safety Eric Weddle was fined $10,000 by the team after their Week 15 contest against the Miami Dolphins for watching his daughter take part in the halftime show. Weddle and his agent David Canter remained quiet about the fine, but Canter's agency DEC Management broke their silence today amid numerous conflicts between the three-time Pro Bowler and the organization he has played nine years with.

Before the start of the 2015 campaign, Weddle chose to hold out and skip voluntary workouts in an effort after contract extension negotiations fell apart. This signaled what could have been the beginning of the end for Weddle and the Chargers organization.

On Monday, the franchise placed their star safety on season-ending injured reserve against his wishes and then followed that up by telling him that he couldn't fly with the team for their Week 17 contest against the Denver Broncos because the plane was "too small."

Weddle's agency tweeted a not so subtle message, suggesting that a return to the Chargers next season is probably not in the cards.
