Aaron Rodgers Sets Off Columnist With Wisconsin Court Access

A columnist for CBS Sports tweets his unhappiness with Aaron Rodgers/Wisconsin after UW beats Arizona.

Yesterday, Wisconsin ousted Arizona from the tournament for the second straight year to advance to the Final Four. By doing so, they ensured that we'll get at least one more game of constant reaction shots for their highest-profile backers: Aaron Rodgers and Olivia Munn. Rodgers has adopted the in-state Badgers as his college basketball team, which you either find: really cool, really bandwagon-y, or (most likely) don't possibly give a crap about.

While it's refreshing (and relatable) to see the NFL MVP acting like a fan, one columnist for CBS Sports wasn't thrilled with Rodgers getting preferential post-game treatment (though it sounds like he was just mad because he didn't get an interview). That columnist (Dennis Dodd) quickly took to Twitter to publicly voice his complaints. Eventually the Packers' signal caller saw those complaints because, like we said, they were public. So why wouldn't he?

Dodd started (and then continued on for several tweets) like so:

1.

Aaron Rodgers in one of the biggest moments in the state's history -- ignoring how media has shaped his image -- "I'm not doing interviews"

— Dennis Dodd (@dennisdoddcbs) March 29, 2015

2.

Dear Wisco fan: If it was about the Badgers, then why was A Rodgers on court? Credentialed media only.

— Dennis Dodd (@dennisdoddcbs) March 29, 2015

3.

Here's the equivalent of what A Rodgers did today. I crash his wedding to Olivia because I'm a big "fan."

— Dennis Dodd (@dennisdoddcbs) March 29, 2015

4.

Media had to stay outside three point line (really) while Badgers cut nets. A Rodgers allowed unrestrained access to court. Fair?

— Dennis Dodd (@dennisdoddcbs) March 29, 2015

5.

Still wondering what difference is between two uncredentialed fans on court. One dates an actress and is good at sports. Other isn't.

— Dennis Dodd (@dennisdoddcbs) March 29, 2015

6.

I can guarantee you this will be taken up by NCAA and USBWAA. A Rodgers shouldn't be in a position for us to be blown off.

— Dennis Dodd (@dennisdoddcbs) March 29, 2015

7.

Where do we draw the line? USC can't have celebs on sideline anymore after sanctions. But feel-good A Rodgers can be on court with Badgers?

— Dennis Dodd (@dennisdoddcbs) March 29, 2015

As for Rodgers' response:

8.

To the biggest twitter crybaby of the night, I had a pass to be on the court. Send your complaints to the A.D. #quitcrying #youreajoke

— Aaron Rodgers (@AaronRodgers12) March 29, 2015

9.

Also with interview requests, sometimes the answer is yes and sometimes it's no. I'm not there for u, I'm there to support my friends n UW.

— Aaron Rodgers (@AaronRodgers12) March 29, 2015

Honestly, we're not sure what Rodgers could've added to UW's win. We'll take people venting on social media over a boring-ass, cliche filled interview any day of the week.
