You can already get adaptive cruise control, that slows down when the car in front of you does and even comes to a complete stop, but you still need to steer. Ford is now promising a system that will both keep speed, distance from the car in front, and steer the car smack dab in the middle of the lane. 

Yes, highway driving and traffic jams are about to be accomplished by autopilot. While we normally are against Skynet taking over our cars, this is just removing the boring and soul-crushing parts of driving, and that's pretty damn cool.
