Following a teaser from the man himself over the weekend on Instagram, there is now an official drop date for Vince Staples' collaboration with Converse.

The three-piece collection consists of two pairs of sneakers and a matching pullover hoodie that take inspiration from his 2017 project Big Fish Theory. The first pair from the offering is a Chuck '70 Hi. It utilizes a traditional black canvas upper and orange branding hits. Unique details include orange "BIG" and "FISH" script on each respective tongue and a translucent outsole that gives a peek at the fish graphic used on Staples' Big Fish Theory album art.

The second pair is a Chuck '70 Ox that features an orange canvas upper and black accents. This pair utilizes the same fish graphic on the outsole. Other shared details between the pairs include tonal "Vince Staples" embroidery on the medial collar and "SEA" on the heel tab. The matching hoodie shows off details like contrast stitching and the same "SEA" text hit on the back. The "SEA" graphic used throughout the collection is a nod to Staples' brand and Beats 1 podcast Section Eight Arthouse Broadcast System.

As a west coast rapper, a Converse collab connects to Staples roots, thanks to Chucks being a staple of west coast style and culture. "If you’re not really paying that much attention, you won’t know the difference. But it’s (the Chuck) something that a lot of people use to be able to assimilate into any room they’re going into–every type of person," says Staples in the official press release.

The Converse x Vince Staples collaboration will be available Jan. 25 at converse.com and select retailers. Prices range from $90-$110.
