Being a Cleveland Cavalier's fan isn't so bad these days, but back in the summer of 2010 times were a little tougher. That was the year that LeBron James decided to take his "talents to South Beach," leaving fans stunned. Cleveland fans were so outraged by their hometown hero's sudden departure that many resulted to destroying James' gear. In addition to burning jerseys, some fans gave away even more precious James' memorabilia. One fan was so upset that he actually got rid of his game worn Nike LeBron IIs, which ultimately ended up in a thrift store in Youngstown, OH.

Now, five years later, James is home and those sneakers are worth more than ever. As it turns out, they were the sneakers worn during James's first triple double vs. the Portland Trailblazers, on January 19, 2005. One lucky fan found them now has them up for bidding at SCP Auctions for over $2,000. To verify their authenticity, the owner and auction house compared the scuffs to photos from the game, as well as verifying special Nike PE markings and a note found stuffed inside them. It's safe to say that whoever originally tossed these sneakers is back to being a James' fan, and definitely regrets their decision to not hold onto these.
