'Star Wars' Theme Park Attraction to Debut at Disneyland in Summer 2019

A new theme park attraction that's basically begging for you to do acid inside of it will open at Disneyland in beautiful Anaheim, California next summer.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will begin accepting those among the general public who are interested in experiencing it in summer 2019, Disney announced this week. "While we are still hard at work creating our largest single-themed land expansions ever, I have some exciting news to share today," a Disney rep said in a statement Tuesday. "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will open in summer 2019 at Disneyland Resort and in late fall 2019 at Walt Disney World Resort, when guests will land in the middle of the action as they live their own Star Wars stories."

The Star Wars-themed attractions will give fans the chance to enjoy a quick jaunt in the Millennium Falcon, explore Batuu, and sample the Force. In other words, be as high as possible when doing any of this.

The latest update on Galaxy's Edge, first teased last year, strategically arrives just days ahead of the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. The latest standalone Star Wars entry follows the inaugural one-off, Gareth Edwards' excellent Rogue One. Despite a widely spread report claiming otherwise, there are currently no plans for a Lando Calrissian-centered spinoff.
