Watch Denzel Washington Get Grilled About His Classic Movie Lines on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

Denzel Washington takes the ultimate test on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live': Attempting to recognize his own classic movie lines.

If you happened to be one of the most celebrated actors in history, would you recognize your own classic lines when total strangers spoke them in your general direction? That's the setup behind Jimmy Kimmel's "Did I Say That?" segment, which managed to score Denzel Washington as a contestant on Tuesday night.

"You've done a lot of films," Kimmel told Washington, who has, in fact, done a lot of films. "Are there any of your own films that you haven't seen?" According to Washington, he hasn't skipped a single one. "I had to see 'em all," he said. "Some of them I didn't want to see, or I wish I hadn't seen."

"We want to quiz you, and what we did was we went down to the farmer's market and we asked people there to read a line from a movie," Kimmel explained of the segment, which recently put Samuel L. Jackson to the test. "Your job is to guess whether it's a line that you uttered in character in one of your films, or not."

The first quote, a line from the 2010 film The Book of Eli, was not recognized by Washington as one of his own. But was the Oscar winner able to reign victorious during the remainder of the quote battle? Peep the full clip below for the conclusion.
