It has been a long, winding and unclear road for the presumably doomed relationship between Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom. The former couple filed for divorce way back in 2013, but delayed making it official for years, and then straight up called off the divorce after Odom was hospitalized after suffering a stroke at a Nevada brothel in 2015. Khloe had previously said that move was so that she'd have legal rights while making medical decisions during Odom's recovery, but people definitely thought they might be back together at Yeezy Season 3.
Over the years, they'd reportedly tried all kinds of stuff to save the relationship, from considering having a baby to "fix" the marriage to making a sex tape. But a new Facebook post from Khloe, in which she talks about "letting go" and how people have to learn "to stop taking on peoples problems as if they are our own," it definitely sounds like she's talking about Odom. TMZ is speculating that her decision to let go of trying to help the former NBA star, who has struggled with substance abuse, was spurred by reports that he was seen drinking in a California bar recently.
Here's what she said about people with "bad habits" who are resistant to help:
You can't want their life more than they do. This is in fact their life to figure out on their own and in their own time. I do believe in timing. I do believe timing is everything. You forcing your beliefs and dreams down ones throat is only going to cause resentment and possibly manifest deeper issues. Possibly to the point of no return. "People say time heals all wounds... I say time heals wounds but scars are left to remind you what you have been through and what you survived." Stop shattering your own heart by trying to make a relationship (friend, family, partner) work that clearly isn’t meant to work.
