Get ready for a blast from the past: Next month Gravitas Ventures will release Back to the Future director Jason Aron's documentary, Back in Time, which gives a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the classic film, its impact, and its legacy. Thirty is a significant number in Doc Brown and Marty McFly's universe—in the original film Marty travels 30 years back in time, and in its sequel he travels 30 years into the future—so it's fitting that the doc will be released on the  movie's 30th anniversary.

Originally funded through a KickstarterBack in Time hits theaters on Oct. 21, 2015, a.k.a. "Back to the Future day." Why that date? It happens to be the day that Marty will return to the future, as seen on the DeLorean's time travel settings in the original film. The movie features new, exclusive interviews with Robert Zemeckis, Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Bob Gale, and Stephen Spielberg, among others.

Prep for the 21st by stocking up on orange puffer vests and Calvin Klein jeans and listening to Huey Lewis sing "Back in Time" over and over and over.
