Darren Wilson has been active since going into hiding after killing 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo. in August. The 28-year-old has reportedly spent the last week having secret meetings with television anchors, trying to find the right suitor to give his account of what happened that day.

According to the Washington Post, CNN's Brian Stetler said that at least a handful of high-profile anchors have had off-the-record meetings with Wilson:

Some details exist. NBC News’s Matt Lauer, ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos, CBS News’s Scott Pelley and Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon of CNN have met with Wilson, according to Stelter. Because it was off the record, those anchors can’t talk about the meetings and the networks can’t even confirm that they happened, Stelter notes.

Cooper noted that Wilson passed on him, while Lemon offered fewer details, acknowledging that such meetings are "not out of the ordinary."

A grand jury will likely decide whether or not Wilson will be indicted before the week is over.
