Drake has been in a giving mood lately. As reported by People, the Toronto rapper's most recent random act of generosity includes giving a $10,000 Saks Fifth Avenue shopping spree to a hotel maid, 63-year-old Odalie Paret.

Drake bestowed the gift upon Paret after learning about her life as a housekeeper at Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Her story definitely tugs at the heartstrings: Paret supports five children with her hotel job, and has a daily four-hour, two-bus commute. Drake, and Steelers wide receiver and Miami native Antonio Brown joined forces to treat her to a lavash day.

After getting a massage at the Fontainebleau’s spa and dinner at the Michael Mina steakhouse, StripSteak, Paret was whisked away to Saks Fifth Avenue, where she met both Drake and Brown. She had 45 minutes—and no spending limit—to purchase whatever she wanted.

“I always just saw him on the TV. So I said, ‘Drake!’” Paret told the Miami Herald, recalling the moment she met the rapper. “It made me happy... I thank him so much.”

The rapper and football player documented the celebratory trip on Drake’s Instagram Stories.

Drake first learned about Paret through a 2017 Miami Herald article where she spoke on the city’s increasing rent prices, which are causing 80 percent of workers employed in Miami Beach—including around 11,500 housekeepers—to move further away from the city.

As of late, Drake's been dedicated to helping the residents of Miami, such as donating $50,000 to a women's homeless shelter, buying $50,000 worth of groceries for strangers in a Miami Beach supermarket, and surprising a University of Miami student with $50,000.

Drake took to Instagram to reflect on his acts of kindness, “Last 3 days were the best I have had in a very long time…there’s nothing like seeing people experience a joyful moment when you can tell they need it the most.”
