Chris Dave has made a successful career out of working with the likes of Adele, Justin Bieber, D’Angelo, and Robert Glasper, but later this month, the drummer, bandleader, and all-around musical talent will make his mark as a lead act alongside the Drumhedz with their debut self-titled album.

Dave recruited a number of guests for the project, including Anderson .Paak, who shows out on the funky cut "Black Hole" that will have you doing your best two-step on the dance floor. There's also a message behind the bop you'll be walking away with.

"It's a brief overview of the black hole from the perspective of the everyday hustler just trying to escape falling into the belly of it," Anderson .Paak explains, while Dave adds, "'Black Hole' is a nonstop existence of striving for excellence amongst the constant turmoil that plagues us and our culture."

Check out "Black Hole" below along with the tracklist for the album, which is due out Jan. 26 via Blue Note Records. You can pre-order the project here; "Black Hole" will be available on streaming services tonight at midnight (Jan. 19).
