Last December, the home label of Lil Uzi Vert became an impassioned debate topic after Generation Now's DJ Drama and Don Cannon disputed Wiz Khalifa's claims of adding the new god of fuck to his Taylor Gang roster. Thursday, Wiz tossed some more confusion our way with this:

So why, exactly, would Wiz be presented with a plaque commemorating the continuing successes of Uzi's somber hymn "XO Tour Llif3"?

To understand why any of this could possibly matter, let's recap those fateful December revelations. In a Dec. 23 tweet, Wiz responded to a fan asking if Uzi was signed to Taylor Gang with a yes-esque, "Definitely is gangster." A few days later, Drama and Cannon respectfully disagreed. Drama said Uzi "is only signed to Generation Now LLC." Cannon, noting that the Generation Now team has "a lotta love" for Wiz and Taylor Gang, said the same.

Way back in 2015, Atlantic Records and Generation Now issued a joint statement announcing the signing of Lil Uzi Vert ahead of the release of the original Luv Is Rage project. Wiz's Taylor Gang, of course, has a distribution deal with Atlantic Records. Wiz is also signed to Atlantic, who released his "Something New" single earlier this year.

Reps for Wiz did not immediately respond to Complex's request for comment on the "XO Tour Llif3" plaque.
