This Friday, Meek Mill will release his third solo album, Wins & Losses, and for many, the question has been "what the hell does Wins & Losses mean?" Even on Everyday Struggle, the debate between DJ Akademiks and Joe Budden has been if the Philly rapper would be addressing the multitude of issues that have emerged in the two years since Dreams Worth More Than Money's release, leading many to assume this subject matter would make up the bulk of the album. Hell, Meek even teased bumping Drake's scathing diss towards him, "Back to Back," for "motivation" back in May. Judging by this interview with Atlanta's Streetz 94.5, though, it looks like Meek's got a different definition for Wins & Losses.

"Wins & Losses," Meek began, "I'm letting the people know how I feel right now." When asked to break it down, Meek seemed to firmly define the subject matter on the album. "I just wanted to give people a real perspective of my life, what we call wins and what we call losses. I lost my case, we lost Lil Snupe, Chino lost his brother. Where we come from, that's a loss. When you talk L's and W's, you get an L, that mean you got life in jail. It's critical, it ain't what they talking about, so I wanted to give my perspective on it, let people know what I've been through."

For what it's worth, Meek refers to Lil Snupe, who's death he's been talking about since 2013, most notably on "Lil Nigga Snupe" from Dreamchasers 3. The last line is interesting, though; maybe Meek bringing up "what they talking about" when it comes to the drama and rumors about, say, his previous relationship with Nicki Minaj or his beef with Drake, is a way of deflecting the conversation being had, but ultimately, he just might have bars for every one of these instances.

Or Meek's transcended the beef/relationship woes/etc. and is in a different head space on Wins & Losses. We'll find out when it drops on Friday. For now, check out Chapter 2 of Meek's Wins & Losses: The Movie.
