Apple Music Is Reportedly Still Negotiating With Kanye West For the Exclusive Release of 'SWISH'

Apple rolled out their new music streaming service earlier today.

Earlier today, Apple and Jimmy Iovine rolled out the long-awaited music streaming service, Apple Music, and despite numerous rumors, Kanye West's album, SWISH, was not included in the presentation. According to Buzzfeed, Apple and 'Ye have been talking for some time about bringing the exclusive release of the project to the streaming service, but they have not been able to hammer out a deal as of now.

While Apple Music is thought to be an instant competitor for streaming giant Spotify, the inclusion of exclusive albums and content, much like Tidal has championed in recent months, would easily put Apple onto another tier in the industry. Even with Kanye and Apple Music not finalized yet, the match seems particularly right, especially since 'Ye has distanced himself from Tidal since it was relaunched in March. With today being Kanye's birthday, the hope amongst fans to get SWISH with the Apple Music launch was high, but it looks like they will just have to wait a bit longer.
