Rapper RondoNumbaNine was arrested in the shooting death of Javan Boyd. RondoNumbaNine, whose real name is Clint Massey, is accused of killing Boyd, along with an unnamed co defendant, in Chicago's Wentworth Gardens area on February 22, around 4AM. Boyd, a dispatch service driver, was shot seven times while waiting for a passenger, and was pronounced dead nearly two hours later in the hospital. Police claim that they have part of the incident available on camera, and that Massey's fingerprints have been found on the vehicle.

Massey, 17, is being held on $2 million bail. He has built up buzz for himself in Chicago with collaborations with Fredo Santana, Lil Durk, and Lupe Fiasco. The latter appeared on Massey's biggest song to date, "Life Of A Savage." Massey was also under intense scrutiny for posting a picture of himself holding a rocket launcher. He later said that this picture was simply a "publicity stunt."
