For their final album Collapse into Now, R.E.M. grabbed a number of their friends and other artists to create music videos for the album. While most of the videos ran in 2011, the short film for "Blue" dropped yesterday. James Franco directed it and none other than Lindsay Lohan starred in it.
Maybe this is why she dropped that Barbara Walters interview.
Franco never made another promised video for "That Someone Is You" off the album but maybe he will now that "Blue" is finally finished. You can watch the short film below:
