Back in the summer of 1991, plenty of hip-hop heads became familiar (and ridiculous impressed) with a young new rapper by the name of Nas when they heard his immense guest feature on Main Source's "Live At The Barbeque."
And around that time, he and Akinyele, who also appeared on the track, recorded raw versions of their verses that were captured by DJ Johnny Wishbone. He also recorded some freestyles by the two MCs that have only just now appeared online in this Lunchroom Battles mix created by Gudtyme.
