If you have been following the career of ASAP Rocky, you have no doubt picked up on the fact that his real first name is Rakim. Yes, he was named after the legendary rapper of the same name, who apparently signed a pair of Rocky's diapers when his mom ran into Rakim on the street. And even though they now share similar career paths as rappers in the same city, the two Rakims had never met.
As you'll see in the above video, that all changed thanks to Hot 97's Angie Martinez, who clearly surprised the hell out of the young Harlem spitter. He even calls his mom to let her know the news. You can watch more of Rocky and Rakim's time together in the studio in the video below.
