Here's another one for the R&Beef archives. Australian-bred singer-songwriter Daniel Merriweather took to Twitter late last night to express his feelings on Robin Thicke's newly released album titled Love & War.
The neo-soul vocalist from Downunder accussed Robin of jacking the title of his 2009 platinum debut LP of the same name, Love & War. Thicke then took to Twitter where he responded with a pint of ether.
But hey, if you're going to flex your "My album went platinum, bro!" card, shouldn't you at least clarify where it went platinum? And let's be real: Robin's weakest work still gets him number ones.
Yeah, never losing.

Ha, yea i never heard of him either. In any case, I hope he does not think 'Love & War' is completely original. #imjustsayin

Wow, this Dan guy only needs to sell 300,000 copies to make Plat in BPI (whatever that is) while Robin has been certified Plat according to RIAA which means he sold at least 1,000,000 copies

the price you pay when you choose album titles that painfully unoriginal.

Neither is the most unique name. Artists need to chill out and realize names can be reused and it's not necessarily stolen. They should do a song together.

LOL @ Complex's cheap journalistic tactics. Since when is a -_- face a diss? Because that's really the only "diss" i got out of that sentence. And another thing: U.S. Population (2011): 301,139,947 U.K. Population (2011): 62,218,761 Of course the amount needed for platinum is going to be less...because there are less people in the United Kingdom. It's pretty fucking impressive if someone were to go platium (based on U.S. standards) in the U.K. (Hai Adele), being that 1 in 62 people would have the album, as opposed to 1 in 301. And Paula Patton > most bitches.
