Redheads rejoice: you will soon be getting your own emojis.
The Unicode Consortium—which manages the selection of new emojis—revealed on Wednesday that we’ll be getting 157 new ones added to our phones. The redhead emoji will finally be released in a range of skin tones. Characters with curly hair and no hair at all will also be added.
The Emoji 11.0 collection will come out in June, and is expected to hit our phones in August or September. The collection will also include a bevy of new foods like a mango, a bagel, salt, and a pink cupcake, and inanimate objects such as a lab coat, hiking boot, ballet flat, stick of dynamite, test tube, and pirate flag.
People are already celebrating even though we won’t see the redhead emojis for a few months.
