Worldwide Wednesday: The 10 Hottest Croatian Women
Only twenty years ago today, the Parliament of Croatia officially replaced their former socialist Yugoslavia constitution of 1974 and adopted the liberal-democratic Constitution of Croatia, sometimes known as the Christmas Constitution. OK, so they amended it a couple times since then, it's the Christmas Constitution for Chrissake! And who could celebrate anything that has the word "Christmas" in it without handing out some presents? We'd like to hereby thank Croatia for their gifts that keep on giving: their hottest women. And here's our present in return: their gift, organized into a countdown. Go ahead, rip up the wrapping paper on the 10 hottest Croatian women.

Hometown: Osijek
Claim to fame: Monika's earned a number of careeer-changing titles throughout her career. These include Select's "Supermodel of the Year" in 1996 and George Clooney's "Girlfriend for this Vacation" for their St. Tropez getaway in 2007.

Hometown: Zagreb
Claim to fame: We couldn't tell you how to pronounce her name. Do you even really need to know? The supermodel, certified by her runway appearances for Marc Jacobs, Amaya Arzuaga, and Fausto Puglisi, is meant to be stared at. So quit asking and just support her career by silently perving on her.

Claim to fame: Unlike any other girl on the countdown, Jelena Glisic's sexiness has the entire country's approval, and she has the Miss Croatia 2005 sash to show for it. Unfortunately, the rest of the world didn't agree and crowned another chick as Miss Universe. Blame Canada!

Hometown: Zagreb
Claim to fame: The supermodel and former contestant on Croatia's Celebrity Big Brother admitted in an interview that she'd rather eat mince-meat fingers than fish, sleeps in pajamas, and doesn't care if her man has a beer belly. That is the sexiest unsexy thing we've ever heard. Here is our heart. And our gut.

Hometown: Zagreb
Claim to fame: For this one, we're switching it up to "claim to almost-fame." Back in 2000, the supermodel released her first single as singer, which flopped before the album could ever be produced. She was also in talks to play the female lead in Jim Carrey's sequel to The Mask, but not even Jim Carrey ended up starring in that. Despite these setbacks, at least she'll always have Ricky Martin's "Livin La Vida Loca" video.

Claim to fame: There's something about Croatian models and late 90s/early 2000s pop sensations. Ze zuper duper zexy zupermodel was the chick J.T. let go in N'Sync's music video for "Gone". FINALLY! After almost ten years and our wannabe boy band phase over, the mystery is solved.

Claim to fame: The host of RTL's Exkluziva is what Maria Menounos was to Access Hollywood—a welcome distraction from the dumb celebrity news they report about.

Claim to fame: Despite being one of Croatia's most recognizable pop singers, Sola is best known for her acting role in Zabranjena Ljubav, which literally translates into "forbidden love." Yes, it is not a porno.
#2. Leona Paraminski
Hometown: Zagreb
Claim to fame: Aside from being consistently named one of Globus' "Top 100 Sexiest Croatian Female Stars" since 2005, the Najbolje Godine actress' acting ability is actually as impressive as she looks. Her role in 2002's Winter in Rio earned her the Golden Arena Best Actress Award at the Pula Film Festival, the Croatian national film fest, that same year.

Hometown: Split
Claim to fame: Known simply for being Severina (*says name while rolling the r*). When you say it like that, her adulterous sex tape scandal seems even more understandable. Although it's not our place to judge what she does in private, we can understand why the Croatian public, who knew her as a promoter of abstinence, a married woman, and a devout Catholic, had a harder time grasping the idea.
