According to this I'm right in the middle. But being an awkward black woman just puts me in a different lane.

This is so fucking dumb/outdated. Hipsters don't wear shutter shades and never did. Also the hipster band list is fucking awful.

Several interesting things pointed out here... the affiliation between geeks and classic rock, and hipsters' aversion to classic rock, is a recent phenomenon which I think is unfortunate. I would have been more into this if it had paid more attention to subtle differences... for instance, what is the hipster equivalent of the geeks' "long-winded and pretentious?" It also would've been funnier/more interesting/more accurate if it had moved "Rushmore" to the geek side (while keeping "Life Aquatic" on the hipster side). Both geeks and hipsters like Wes Anderson, and the subtle difference between "Rushmore" and "Life Aquatic" points to the subtle differences between their fans.

Comments along the lines of "...so fucking dumb/outdated" are "so" typically hipster. The "hipster band list is fucking awful" comment completes the hipster personae. Why must hipsters ridicule everything? Of course, you might have been making an ironic comment; in that case the jokes on me...but as I was saying: This is a funny little poster about hipsters and geeks, not an academic treatise or a social psychology dissertation! Really, do you actually even CARE if you're a hipster? I just wish people didn't go out of their way to make me feel bad about my lifestyle preferences--I'd rather not know how much you hate the things I like, life is hard enough as it is!
