Poet and spoken word performer Gil Scott- Heron is an icon. His late 60's work is credited with the birth of Hip-Hop and soul. His best known work is his political rant, "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised." Drake sample Heron's work on the title track of his latest album Take Care. Sadly, we lost Gil Scott-Heron on May 27, 2011.
