Louis C.K.'s name was thrown around for both the (relatively) recently filled late night gigs, but we have a feeling he wouldn't be happy sitting in that chair day after day. Still, the comedian gets why the network television mainstay is a hit.

"[It's] where the national conversation is happening. It’s where we all talk to each other and feel we’re in the stream with the community," he said. That didn't used to be the case, though—people weren't talking about Jay Leno's bits the next day the way we do with Jimmy Fallon.

"What’s interesting about all the changes taking place is that even though Jimmy Fallon is the most different, he’s still the guy with the skyline, the desk and the band," C.K. said. "His voice is so smart and he’s such a sweet guy, and he is the guy who has totally changed the tempo and the feeling of late night."

We can't argue with that!
