To show them off, Prada worked with photographer Johnny Dufort to shoot its Linea Rossa Spring/Summer 2022 campaign. Dufort captures four athletes as sleek blurs of motion, wearing streamlined, technologically advanced garments while striking a Linea Rossa table tennis ball with futuristic paddles. As you can see, this is a well-choreographed team all clad in the line’s top jackets, vests, and shorts.
Dufort’s imagery highlights Linea Rossa 2022’s athleticism, while also showcasing its pioneering fabric innovations.The collection is made from bio-ceramic polyester piquet, which allows wearers to maintain a constant body temperature no matter their activity or outside conditions.
Here, Linea Rossa’s emblematic nylon garments have also been updated for a new era. Now they’re made with bio-based threads which are harvested from castor plant seeds, creating a lightweight, abrasion resistant material with natural anti-bacterial functions.
In a subdued palette of black, white, and reflective silver, offset by the signature Linea Rossa latex stamp, this line is engineered for multi-functionality, repelling water and maintaining temperature homeostasis in both cool and warm conditions. Prada Linea Rossa S/S 2022 is made to adapt and live.
That emphasis on flexibility extends beyond the garments’ functionality to give Prada clients some creative control over one of their favorite items. For 2022, Prada Linea Rossa’s America’s Cup sneaker, a staple of the line since the ’90s, has been relaunched, giving consumers the ability to customize the shoe via the AC Factory tool on prada.com. Purchasers can personalize the sneakers’ lace-up and strap closure styles, choosing from an array of patent and soft leathers and a spectrum of colors. They can even emboss their initials on the shoes for the ultimate personalized touch.
