Building on the brands’ longstanding partnership which first started in 2013, Daily Paper has unveiled its new 18-piece collab collection with fellow Amsterdam-born brand Filling Pieces, drawing on the iconic “Sapeurs” of Brazzaville, Congo—a people known for their colourful style and character.
Standing as a complete ready-to-wear collection, this team-up comprises a selection of apparel, footwear and accessories, all centred around co-branded motifs inspired by Pan-Africanism. Drawing on over eight years of friendship, brotherhood and mutual creativity, the joint project pays tribute to the inhabitants of Congo and the Republic of Congo itself, with a colour palette made up of light blue, lilac and rich green, as well as classic black and white and a surprising pop of yellow.
Described as a “true reflection of the unique creative culture in the city”, the collection serves as one of the most exciting collaborations created by the two brands, with highlights ranging from a premium wool blend varsity jacket dressed in the collection print, a lilac mesh top, loafers with custom gold detailing, and a limited-edition Gali boot.
The collection drops on November 4 on the Daily Paper webstore, fillingpieces.com and at a number of stockists including Selfridges and END.
