Cat Footwear, the globally renowned shoemaking arm of Caterpillar Inc., has linked up with British fashion designer Nigel Cabourn to deliver two new boots centred around two heritage-inspired workwear and military styles.

Drawing on the pair’s respective Build Anything Anywhere and Can Do mottos, the collaborative collection features the Utah and Omaha boots, which take their name after the beaches stormed on D-Day and are inspired by the U.S. Navy and industrial boots worn by soldiers in World War II.

Taking its cues from classic military uniforms, the Utah is constructed on the outsole of Cat Footwear’s Holton boot and features a steel toe and Goodyear welt for extreme durability. Arriving in “Leather Brown” and “Black Camo”, each iteration is equipped with details synonymous with Cat as well as military-inspired materials and vintage-inspired textures, such as a steel toe and Goodyear welt around its outer edge.

Crafted in “Dijon” and black colourways, the Omaha silhouette arrives with a sturdy and flexible canvas high-top upper, as well as custom-moulded and grooved rubber toe cap. Honing in on Cabourn’s signature styling element, the canvas chosen to create the boot can be worn either upright or turned down, while other details like heavy-duty metal hardware and heritage-inspired laces round things out.

The Cat Footwear x Nigel Cabourn collection is now available for purchase on Cat Footwear’s official site.
