Rising London-based streetwear label Broken Planet has just released the lookbook for its Broken Hearts V2 collection, scheduled to drop this weekend. The expansive capsule features a variety of pieces in the brand’s signature puff print style, including the infamous Broken Hearts hoodie with a graphic of two skulls in brown and pink.
For its latest release, Broken Planet has introduced a knitted sweatshirt with a heart-eyed skull motif, encapsulated with the phrase hearts are made to be broken in its instantly-recognisable typography. As well as graphic T-shirts, the offering also includes a matching sweatpant set in “Midnight”—Broken Planet’s truest black colourway to date—and printed hoodie, complete with the words twin flames on either side of the zip. Completing the sustainable brand’s biggest and most-anticipated release is a second beanie featuring a Broken Hearts 360 degree detailing and a fuschia pink hoodie.
Speaking about the influence behind the drop, Broken Planet founders Lukas Žvikas and Indrė Narbutaitė said: “After the craziness of the original Broken Hearts release in February 2022, our fans and followers have been demanding a restock ever since! It only made sense to bring it back bigger and better for 2023. We’re restocking the fan-favourite, the iconic Broken Hearts hoodie in brown and pink, but wanted to introduce plenty of new pieces too. We are introducing two new colours, Fuchsia Pink and Midnight Black, in hoodies, as well as a new beanie. We decided to drop some units early on Valentine’s Day with a password-protected website and these were sold out within seconds!
“We decided to shoot the collection in the city of love, Paris, choosing to bring back one of the models from the original shoot over a year ago. We mentioned before that we always try to match the shoot locations with the collection itself and it made complete sense to us to return to Paris for Broken Hearts. You’ll also be seeing an update on Mr. Skeleton’s journey through outer space—where will he end up this time?”
