As the Los Angeles fashion scene has garnered more attention of late, it’s vital to pay homage to one of the city’s best men’s spots in Union. The brainchild of streetwear veteran Chris Gibbs, Union opened in 2004 and since its founding has provided an eclectic and occasionally unpredictable aesthetic. Trading heavily in Japanese influence from Wtaps, Ganryu, and Commes des Garçons, Union hits every shade of the spectrum and isn’t afraid to bring on unproven brands to bolster its variety. Recently, the store has stocked projects from multi-hyphenate Julian Klincewicz, pastel shades by Advisory Board Crystals and even teamed up with the likes of Wacko Maria, Brain Dead, and Neighborhood for exclusive ComplexCon merch.
