We may have just found the swagless version of Four Pins. The Mirror highlighted some couples where the man in the relationship spends thousands of dollars per year on clothing, leaving their spouses to shop sales and bargain bin spots. While the gender stereotypes always have you believe that women are the big spenders on clothing, us dudes are working to tip the scale in the other direction. This is just another step.
Michael here prefers to wear Hugo Boss suits ($750) and Tricker's shoes ($450) and claims that his wardrobe is worth around $15,000 in total, not including all his cycling clothes. He goes so far to store all of his clothing on nice hangers as well. His wife Becca, on the other hand, shops primarily at H&M, Primark and Forever 21, storing her clothes hidden away in drawers. Another guy, Nathan, says that most of his daily outfits run around $900, made up of Church's shoes ($440) and Diesel jeans ($275), and owns multiple $1,500 suits. He also says he has 50+ pairs of shoes and probably spends $9,000 per year on clothing alone. His wife Tracey admits that their first date was them shopping for "the perfect brown loafers." Tracey, you should have stopped dating him immediately. But hindsight is 20/20 on that one.
These dudes are simultaneously legends and total nerds. But they're people we can deeply relate to. However, they should also try reading Four Pins at least once because they're in dire need of some better gear. Hit us up. We'll style you.
