BREAKING: Ralph Lauren Stepping Down As CEO Of Namesake Company

None

According to The New York TimesRalph Lauren is stepping down as the CEO of his namesake company. This must have been a minute in the making as there is already a replacement lined up: Stefan Larsson, a former H&M executive and president of Old Navy, which he is credited with turning into a retail killer, will start in November. This is seen as a move to get the brand back on track in terms of finances, as Ralph Lauren's revenue has dropped around 5% over the past year.

Lauren will still have a role at the brand as executive chairman and chief creative officer and Larsson will still report to him, so this move probably won't affect what we see from the brand creatively speaking all that much, but the fact that it's even happening at all is obviously some big fucking news as Ralph Lauren is the seminal American fashion designer. If there is any developing news, we'll be sure to keep you in the loop. Thankfully, Ralph will still be around, so don't get your polos all in a knot. Crisis averted. It's still Ralph tho.
