Miss me with that fake ass inspirational shit, all you wannabe brands out there. I don't wear any clothing item until it makes me feel a substantial dose of existential dread and remorse. Speak to me with some nonsensical epitaphs, preferably plaster all over a signature sweatshirt like Matthew Miller did here. Homie asked a bunch of creatives to write down phrases that describe their everyday reality and printed the results on his F/W 14 collection sweatshirts. This one has "Life is My Message" and it speaks to me on a higher level. As unoriginal as the phrase is, the words "life" and "message" printed across a sweatshirt look really fucking cool. Have you ever thought about how cool certain words look? Like, tell me "vacant" isn't a straight up awesome word, aesthetically speaking. Yeah, exactly, you can't. There's even a website devoted to the coolest words (replacing my thesaurus from here on out FYI). See, there's a reason why brands put words like these all over their items, and if they have a connection to a deeper definition, all the better. If I were a designer, I would print "Selcouth" everywhere because I just learned the word from my word-a-day dictionary. It means "mysterious, but amazing," which is a very complicated way to say "super fucking dope."
