If alongside "must write about Margiela sneakers everyday" on my job description was a clause that said "they must be the same model as well," I'd honestly be fine because I can write about Margiela GATs all day everyday. With all the colorways and details, each one is a unique little snowflake, special in its own way. MMM has come out with some real wild GATs this season, including a seemingly emo band-inspired black/red colorway. But for those you not gainfully employed at Hot Topic there are these new grey and iridescent joints. They're so clean and instead of the typical gum sole—which is great in every way possible btw—feature an interesting black sole. WHAT? That qualifies as one of the following menswear blogging thesaurus terms:

- "Innovation on a classic"

- "Bringing a retro design up to date"

- "Tweaking a staple"

- "A modern twist"

- All of the above

Pick whichever one applies to your vernacular aesthetic and use to your heart's content. Just be careful because, after a while, words lose meaning—a sad reality for those of us who live and die by repetition. Anyway, these joints are on that Smokey the Bear "only you can prevent forest fires" level of pure heat. I may even considering copping at full price, which is an instance few and far between.
